Finding Time For Exercise With a Newborn

Published by celebgossiper at 10:18 pm under Exercises, Weight Loss Edit This

So, having a toddler and a newborn at home leaves me with hardly anytime to do everything that I want to do and things that I need to do. One of the things that I am having a hard time fitting in is exercise. I tried exercising this morning while my newborn was sleeping and my toddler was playing, but my toddler decided that it was jump on mommy time. Every time I tried to get on the floor and do a an exercise or squatted down or tried to kick, my toddler got in my way. For some reason he no longer wanted to play with his toys at the moment.

So, I have been trying to find times were I can incorporate exercises into my daily life. Like when I’m holding a crying newborn walking around the house, I try to work in some squats and side lunges to work my abs. I do kicks and steps from side to side and do stomach contraction exercises. I basically try to do anything I can while holding and rocking a newborn to sleep. Other times I try to get some exercises in is when I am waiting on something cooking for dinner, playing with my son, and going up and down the stairs for laundry and other things. I guess this is better than nothing for now and I will continue to try to work in my regular workouts.

I can’t wait until it warms up outside so at least I can take some long walks with my double stroller outside. It probably will only be another 3 months before that happens!

So, what do you do when you find that life is leaving you little time to do what you need to do?
